The latest addition to Samsung's R290 air-to-water heat pump range uses R290 as the refrigerant, which has a significantly lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) of only 3 compared to other refrigerants such as R32 and R410A. The low GWP of R290 refrigerant complies with the new EU F-gas regulations that come into effect in 2025. Thanks to innovative noise reduction and a four-stage Quiet mode, the EHS Mono R290 heat pump's outdoor unit operates at a noise level of as low as 35d(BA). With a Grid Felt sound insulation structure, which effectively dampens the operating noise of the device. When combined with the renewed ClimateHub indoor unit, the result is a package that meets today's energy efficiency and environmental values.

The advanced features of the EHS Mono R290 outdoor unit produce water up to 75°C1 for domestic heating. Thanks to its high performance, the EHS Mono R290 can replace the old heating system in residential buildings that have previously relied on fossil fuels for heating. In addition, it can produce hot water up to 70°C without an additional heater, even when the outdoor temperature is as low as -10°C. The new R290 compressors have reinforced compression parts to withstand the higher pressure required to produce hotter water. This allows them to have a higher compression ratio, while maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the compressor.
